GTA Enthusiasts Integrate GTA 6’s Lucia into Various Video Games
Only a few days after the GTA 6 trailer dropped, Grand Theft Auto fans have wasted no time modding the game’s protagonist, Lucia, into various other video games.
Using a popular modding platform, enthusiasts are actively sharing their modifications. Many are crafting a makeshift GTA 6 experience by integrating Lucia into different gaming environments. Some of these mods place her into earlier Grand Theft Auto titles, which seems like a natural fit, while others are more inventive.
A particularly creative mod has placed Lucia into Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. This mod comes with a humorous backstory, suggesting that Lucia was a skateboarder long before her criminal escapades with Jason: “Before her Bonnie and Clyde-like adventures, Lucia was perfecting her ollies and kickflips, waiting for Rockstar to move on from milking GTA 5,” the modder quipped.
Another enthusiast seamlessly integrated Lucia into both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, crafting a gameplay experience that offers a glimpse of what might be in store with GTA 6.
The GTA 6 trailer, which revisited Rockstar’s take on Miami’s Vice City, broke viewership records, surpassing major launches like Cyberpunk 2077’s reveal. The 90-second trailer, filled with detailed references and echoes of real-world events, has sparked widespread enthusiasm.
While the trailer announced a 2025 release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, it notably omitted any mention of a PC version, leading to some disappointment among PC gamers. However, it wasn’t just fans who were upset; several Rockstar developers also expressed their frustration on social media about the trailer leaking ahead of schedule. This sentiment was widely shared across the gaming industry, and the leak resulted in numerous content creators being penalized with strikes and takedowns for sharing the leaked footage.
