GTA 6 Storyline Leak: New Legit Details Revealed!
A popular GTA 6 fan account on X (formerly Twitter), @GTAVI_Countdown, has alleged that several story details and features it previously leaked have now been “confirmed.”
The account, which boasts over 183,000 followers, is known for sharing updates, rumors, and leaks related to GTA 6 and Rockstar Games. Back in September, @GTAVI_Countdown shared information from YouTuber LegacyKillaHD, who highlighted various rumors about the game’s story and gameplay. These leaks included:
- Lucia as a central character
- Separate introduction missions for Lucia and Jason
- A grounded narrative focusing on crime, family dynamics, and struggles
- A shorter story than Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) but packed with side content
- Heist missions reminiscent of Fast and Furious
- Corrupt law enforcement, multiple locations, and gameplay elements inspired by RDR2
Although Rockstar has not officially verified these details, @GTAVI_Countdown claims they were essentially “confirmed” after Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, issued a DMCA takedown against the account.
The DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) allows companies to remove copyrighted material online. Take-Two’s actions, in this case, have led many to believe the leaked information might be legitimate.
Similarly, YouTuber Cyber Boi faced a DMCA strike after discussing these leaks in a video, which was subsequently taken down by Take-Two. Cyber Boi asserts that Take-Two is actively targeting accounts and content creators sharing these rumors.
This leak has been pretty much confirmed, as we just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two. https://t.co/sxrlKzPT0w

Take-Two has officially confirmed that GTA 6 remains on schedule for a Fall 2025 release. This update, shared in the company’s recent annual report, was reiterated during a shareholder meeting, aligning with the timeline initially announced earlier this year.
The first trailer for GTA 6 debuted in December 2023, with Rockstar announcing a 2025 release window. In May, Take-Two narrowed this timeframe to Fall 2025 during an earnings call, a schedule they reaffirmed in their August update.
In preparation for the game’s promotion, Rockstar has posted a job listing for a “Screenshot Capture Artist,” hinting that the marketing campaign for GTA 6 may be ramping up soon.
