Rockstar Reveals Premiere Date for GTA 6’s Initial Trailer
Set your alarms! Grand Theft Auto 6’s debut trailer is scheduled to drop on Tuesday, December 5, at 9am ET, marking a monumental moment in video game history.
Rockstar Games hinted at this exciting reveal back in November, expressing their eagerness to unveil their latest creation. “We are excited to share that the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto will release in early December. We deeply appreciate the continuous support from our players worldwide, which has inspired our creativity since Rockstar’s foundation in 1998. Our aim has always been to elevate video games to a cultural phenomenon, and we hope our games have significantly contributed to that goal,” stated Rockstar.
The anticipation for GTA 6 has been mounting ever since GTA 5’s launch over a decade ago. The existence of GTA 6 was first suggested in a 2020 Kotaku article discussing Rockstar’s workplace culture and was officially confirmed in a 2022 press release. In that release, Rockstar assured that the development was on track. However, the game made headlines earlier that year when early footage was leaked following a significant security breach, which resulted in the arrest of a British teenager involved in the incident.
Speculation about the game’s release window ranges from April 2024 to March 2025, coinciding with Take-Two Interactive’s projections of substantial revenue growth during that fiscal year. This expected increase is widely attributed to the launch of GTA 6, the next major installment in the immensely successful Grand Theft Auto series.
